How to deploy registry keys with Intune

So let's say you wanted Edge to restore all pages when it's opened for all your users. And you wanted to do this by setting the settings in the registry. How would you do that? Well, it's quite simple-

Start off by creating a PowerShell script with the following code

New-Item -Path Registry::"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\Recommended" -Name "RestoreOnStartup" -Type "dword" -Value "6" -Force

Now of course change HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\Recommended with the path for the item you want to create/edit as well as the rest of the parameters.

Once you have the script made and saved as FileName.ps1 open Intune > Devices > Scripts

When there, click add > Windows 10 and later

Give your profile a name, literally, any name will do.

I will be calling mine Set Edge Registry

Then under script settings select your script and put it in 64-bit PowerShell(optional) as shown in the example below

Next, select who you want to push the registry keys to and then add the script. After that wait for your clients to sync with Intune or force a sync from the client to test if it works.

As you see it was successfully set and it was reported as successful in Intune. That's all folks
